{"id":28099,"date":"2026-01-24T03:37:47","date_gmt":"2026-01-24T07:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=28099"},"modified":"2026-01-24T03:37:48","modified_gmt":"2026-01-24T07:37:48","slug":"serving-confidence-guyana-welcomes-texas-de-brazil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/serving-confidence-guyana-welcomes-texas-de-brazil\/","title":{"rendered":"Serving confidence: Guyana welcomes Texas De Brazil"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Guyana\u2019s tourism story continues to unfold,&nbsp;this time, through flavor and fine dining.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An internationally recognized Brazilian steakhouse has officially opened its doors in Georgetown, adding another global brand to the country\u2019s growing hospitality landscape and&nbsp;signaling&nbsp;increasing confidence in Guyana as a destination for world-class experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Texas de Brazil officially hosted its ribbon-cutting ceremony, four months after its soft opening in September 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The steakhouse, blending Brazilian and American cuisine, marks another addition to&nbsp;Guyana&#8217;s hospitality landscape.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Chairman of the Chin Group,&nbsp;Derek Chin, the&nbsp;moment was deeply personal&nbsp;as is&nbsp;the result of years of patience, belief, and faith in Guyana long before oil changed the national narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chin traced the journey back to a chance encounter with the brand nearly two decades ago, a relationship that would eventually place Guyana alongside destinations like Aruba, Trinidad, Panama, and major cities across the United States and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve had almost three months of trying things out, and hoping that everything works, the meats are right, the right temperatures, the salads and everything are there. For you, the guy needs to enjoy what is truly an international, high reputation restaurant and dining experience,&#8221; Chin said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than a restaurant opening, the night marked another signal of Guyana\u2019s growing&nbsp;presence&nbsp;on the global stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of Tourism,&nbsp;Susan Rodrigues, described the arrival of Texas de Brazil as evidence that the country is no longer watching from the sidelines&nbsp;but actively competing in the international tourism arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<strong>We are going to play in that league. We are not spectators anymore. We are coming for the market hard, and we are coming to be successful.
