Deodat Indar, Minister and MP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To further complement the new runway, President Ali announced plans for the construction of a new, modern airport terminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>I\u2019m pleased to announce today that to my right and left you will see the artist impression of a building. And I\u2019m pleased to tell you that this is a building that will be constructed here so you will have a proper terminal to welcome your visitors, immigration services [and] police services,\u201d<\/strong> the head of state said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project was executed by the Ministry of Public Works&#8217; Special Projects Unit in collaboration with members of the Aishalton village council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the head of state announced that Jags Aviation, a local flight operator, has agreed to lower its airfares for travel to the hinterland communities of Paramakatoi in Region Eight and Aishalton, Region Nine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new costs, he said, would take effect from February 1, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>-by Celestine Chacon For years, the residents of Aishalton faced significant challenges in receiving essential goods and services due to unreliable air access.
