{"id":27372,"date":"2025-11-08T11:28:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-08T11:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=27372"},"modified":"2025-11-10T14:53:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T14:53:07","slug":"new-mackenzie-wismar-bridge-84-per-cent-complete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/new-mackenzie-wismar-bridge-84-per-cent-complete\/","title":{"rendered":"New Mackenzie\/Wismar Bridge 84 per cent complete"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The China Railway Construction Caribbean Inc. is officially in the superstructure installation phase of the new Mackenzie\/Wismar Bridge project, bringing greater connectivity for residents of Region Ten (Upper Demerara-Upper Berbice) closer to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company successfully launched the first set of girders on Thursday, advancing the project ahead of schedule. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Public Relations Officer Abbey-Jay Skeete, construction of the new bridge is moving forward smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;Right now, the project is 84% completed&#8230;most of the percentage came from the piling construction, the threstle platform,the piers&#8230;those calculate for a higher rate of a volume of the project,&#8221; <\/strong>she pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-06-at-22.51.35-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27382\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-06-at-22.51.35-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-06-at-22.51.35-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-06-at-22.51.35-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-06-at-22.51.35-1536x864.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-11-06-at-22.51.35.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A team from CRCC and representatives from Politecnica &#8211; the construction company in charge of quality control &#8211; were among those present to witness the launching of the girders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;We are still on contract for April 2026, that has not changed. Due to the girders being launched two weeks ahead of project, everything is smoothly flowing.
