{"id":27114,"date":"2025-03-28T18:52:19","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T18:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=27114"},"modified":"2025-03-28T18:52:20","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T18:52:20","slug":"ministry-of-health-to-launch-universal-healthcare-vouchers-in-linden-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/ministry-of-health-to-launch-universal-healthcare-vouchers-in-linden-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Health to Launch Universal Healthcare Vouchers in Linden"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>February 21, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Health will launch a new universal healthcare voucher program in Linden, Region 10, in March 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative aims to provide citizens with the opportunity to undergo medical tests at both private and public health facilities, ensuring access to essential baseline health data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the new universal healthcare voucher, the Ministry has expanded its existing eye-testing and spectacles voucher program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The age eligibility for eye screenings and spectacles vouchers has been lowered from 65 to 50 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, approximately 60,000 Guyanese had their eyes checked, with 55,000 receiving $15,000 each for the purchase of spectacles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The universal healthcare voucher program, announced in the 2025 budget, is part of a $5 billion initiative expected to benefit around 500,000 people across the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February 21, 2025 The Ministry of Health will launch a new universal healthcare voucher program in Linden, Region 10, in March 2025.
