{"id":26802,"date":"2025-03-06T16:40:28","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T16:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=26802"},"modified":"2025-03-06T16:40:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T16:40:30","slug":"men-on-mission-provides-new-homes-to-three-families","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/men-on-mission-provides-new-homes-to-three-families\/","title":{"rendered":"Men on Mission Provides New Homes to Three Families"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>February 10, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Men on Mission (MoM) initiative continues to transform lives, handing over three new homes to families in need over the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the beneficiaries, 31-year-old Shelly Doodnauth, a single mother of five from Patrick Dam, Angoy\u2019s Avenue, New Amsterdam, received the keys to her new three-bedroom house on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doodnauth previously struggled with inadequate housing, where rainfall would leave her children exposed to the elements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new home now provides her family with a safe and comfortable living space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the handover, Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha emphasized the initiative&#8217;s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable groups across Guyana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, two pensioners, 62-year-old Brijwanti Mangru and 75-year-old Diwanti Sirpat, also received homes through the programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of Natural Resources Vickram Bharrat commended the MoM team for their efforts, highlighting the initiative\u2019s impact and acknowledging the leadership that made it possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a budget of $700 million allocated for 2025, the MoM programme is set to expand its outreach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of this amount, $395 million will go towards constructing 52 homes for vulnerable individuals across the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February 10, 2025 The Men on Mission (MoM) initiative continues to transform lives, handing over three new homes to families in need over the weekend.
