{"id":26519,"date":"2025-02-09T03:20:07","date_gmt":"2025-02-09T03:20:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=26519"},"modified":"2025-02-09T03:20:07","modified_gmt":"2025-02-09T03:20:07","slug":"linden-disability-grant-distribution-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/linden-disability-grant-distribution-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"Linden Disability Grant Distribution Underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Jan 22, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over 600 Lindeners who are on the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security&#8217;s disability register have begun receiving their $35,000 cash grant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distribution, which started this week at the Egbert Benjamin Conference Centre, marks the start of a much-awaited initiative announced by President Irfaan Ali in December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This one-off cash grant is specifically for individuals registered with the Ministry\u2019s Disability Register, and the process has been smooth so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shaneila Murray, Acting Senior Probation Officer of the Linden Office, reported that the distribution has gone well, with recipients encouraged to collect both their new books and cash grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several recipients shared their appreciation for the initiative.
