{"id":25876,"date":"2025-02-01T18:14:36","date_gmt":"2025-02-01T18:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=25876"},"modified":"2025-02-01T18:14:37","modified_gmt":"2025-02-01T18:14:37","slug":"clarendon-college-and-chase-academy-dominate-in-kfc-goodwill-schools-football-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/clarendon-college-and-chase-academy-dominate-in-kfc-goodwill-schools-football-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"Clarendon College and Chase Academy Dominate in KFC Goodwill Schools Football Tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Eric Collymore<\/em><br><em>December 18, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clarendon College and Chase Academy are emerging as strong title contenders in the KFC Goodwill Schools Football Tournament following dominant performances on Tuesday at the Ministry of Education ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first match of the day, reigning champions Clarendon College, hailing from Jamaica, showed their quality as they crushed Dolphin Secondary from Georgetown with an emphatic 11-0 victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicoloy Forbes was the standout performer, scoring a remarkable four goals in the first half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jamaican side got off to a quick start, with Naval Anderson and Justin Clarke putting them ahead in the 7th and 9th minutes, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forbes then added his goals in the 15th, 21st, 27th, and 36th minutes to take a commanding 6-0 lead at halftime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the second half, Forbes continued his goal-scoring spree with strikes in the 50th, 51st, and 60th minutes, while Chevon Watson and Dameon Simms completed the scoring, rounding off an impressive 11-0 win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the feature match, local rivals Chase Academy took on D.C.
