{"id":25801,"date":"2025-01-27T16:03:44","date_gmt":"2025-01-27T16:03:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=25801"},"modified":"2025-01-27T16:03:45","modified_gmt":"2025-01-27T16:03:45","slug":"100000-cash-grant-distribution-begins-in-region-eight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/100000-cash-grant-distribution-begins-in-region-eight\/","title":{"rendered":"$100,000 Cash Grant Distribution Begins in Region Eight"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Delicia Janneire<\/em><br><em>December 16, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The distribution of the $100,000 cash grant announced by President Irfaan Ali commenced today in Region Eight, benefiting residents of Mahdia, Princeville, and Campbelltown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative was officially launched by Minister of Amerindian Affairs Pauline Sukhai in Mahdia, where representatives from the Bank of Guyana facilitated the cashing of cheques to ensure a seamless process for recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately $200 million will be injected into Region Eight&#8217;s economy through this initiative, which aims to provide financial relief to communities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The disbursement process follows an earlier statement by Vice President and PPP General Secretary Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, who outlined the distribution schedule for regions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Region Nine was the first to benefit, with Regions Eight and One following, and Region Four next in line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A second round of distributions will be held in Region Eight to accommodate those who missed today\u2019s session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nationwide cash grant distribution is expected to span at least five months, reaching eligible recipients across all regions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Delicia JanneireDecember 16, 2024 The distribution of the $100,000 cash grant announced by President Irfaan Ali commenced today in Region Eight, benefiting residents of Mahdia, Princeville, and Campbelltown.
