{"id":25394,"date":"2025-01-16T14:59:03","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T14:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=25394"},"modified":"2025-01-16T14:59:03","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T14:59:03","slug":"youth-basketball-guyana-announces-rescheduled-titan-bowl-13-and-tertiary-knockout-tournaments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/youth-basketball-guyana-announces-rescheduled-titan-bowl-13-and-tertiary-knockout-tournaments\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth Basketball Guyana Announces Rescheduled Titan Bowl 13 and Tertiary Knockout Tournaments"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>December 2, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) has announced that the much-awaited Titan Bowl 13 and Tertiary Knockout tournaments have been rescheduled to start on Friday, December 13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The games will now conclude on Monday, December 16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This adjustment was made following a request from the National Sports Commission to allow the One Guyana Futsal tournament to finish before the basketball tournaments begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chris Bowman, President of YBG, expressed excitement for the year-end tournaments, calling them an important part of evaluating the year&#8217;s progress in youth and school basketball development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said, \u201cYBG is always excited about our year-end tournaments because it\u2019s really an evaluation for us of completing another great year of youth and school basketball development.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bowman highlighted that these tournaments provide an opportunity to wrap up the year on a positive note and give insight into the upcoming year\u2019s programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also explained that the rescheduling was a practical decision to avoid the inconvenience of setting up and dismantling the court twice within a short period, which would have been resource-intensive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bowman added, \u201cWe think that it is going to be a great tournament nevertheless. As you know, YBG programs all of our tournaments for students from across the country, so it\u2019s a wide spread of teams who are traveling and making the effort to come here for the tournament. We expect a great tournament, nevertheless.
