{"id":25248,"date":"2025-01-06T18:42:55","date_gmt":"2025-01-06T18:42:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=25248"},"modified":"2025-01-06T18:42:56","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T18:42:56","slug":"small-businesses-honoured-for-contributions-to-guyanas-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/small-businesses-honoured-for-contributions-to-guyanas-economy\/","title":{"rendered":"Small Businesses Honoured for Contributions to Guyana\u2019s Economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Josiah Williams \u2013 November 23, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirty-five small business owners were recognized for their outstanding contributions to Guyana\u2019s economy at the Small Business Bureau Awards held at the Pegasus Suites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, including agro-processing, sustainable tourism, fashion, business consultancy, and cultural acts, were commended for their innovation and hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the ceremony, recipients expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Small Business Bureau (SBB). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Budwatty Ramnarine, owner of B&amp;R Food Package and Craft, acknowledged the encouragement and training she received from the Bureau, which helped elevate her business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Devran Pitt of Fantasy Destinations highlighted the role of SBB\u2019s training programs in his success within sustainable tourism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ameer Rahim of Rahim\u2019s Agrifarm and Livestock Establishment shared how the Bureau\u2019s assistance allowed him to expand into cold-pressed coconut oil and plantain flour production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Hon.
