{"id":24977,"date":"2024-12-12T15:03:33","date_gmt":"2024-12-12T15:03:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=24977"},"modified":"2024-12-12T15:04:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T15:04:09","slug":"land-ownership-process-begins-for-section-e-non-pariel-residents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/land-ownership-process-begins-for-section-e-non-pariel-residents\/","title":{"rendered":"Land Ownership Process Begins for Section E Non-Pariel Residents"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Celestine Chacon | November 16, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Approximately 80 residents of Section E Non-Pariel, East Coast Demerara, are set to benefit from the government\u2019s land regularization initiative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of these residents have lived in the area for over 20 years without formal ownership documents, leaving them unable to access proper titles for their homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, Susan Rodrigues, conducted a consultation with residents, announcing that the process for land regularization would begin shortly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the session, Minister Rodrigues explained that an occupational survey had already been completed, documenting 80 structures in the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This data has been submitted to the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&amp;PA) to initiate block design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next steps include demarcating lots, boundary lines, roads, reserves, and drainage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regularization effort is part of the government\u2019s broader strategy to provide equitable access to land and housing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since taking office four years ago, the administration has facilitated the regularization of over 1,000 lots, providing security and stability to families across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative at Section E Non-Pariel aims to bring long-term relief to residents who have lived with uncertainty for decades, ensuring they can secure official titles and access resources tied to land ownership.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Celestine Chacon | November 16, 2024 Approximately 80 residents of Section E Non-Pariel, East Coast Demerara, are set to benefit from the government\u2019s land regularization initiative.
