{"id":24391,"date":"2024-11-26T18:46:45","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T18:46:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=24391"},"modified":"2024-11-26T18:47:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T18:47:51","slug":"lima-hospital-construction-progresses-set-to-open-in-may-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/lima-hospital-construction-progresses-set-to-open-in-may-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Lima Hospital Construction Progresses, Set to Open in May 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Delicia Janneire<\/em><br><em>October 30, 2024<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction of the Lima hospital in Region Two is advancing steadily, with the facility expected to begin operations by May 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister of Health, Dr. Frank Anthony, provided an update on the project during a recent site visit, highlighting the progress and the anticipated impact on local healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once completed, the Lima hospital will feature 75 beds, two operating theatres, an outpatient clinic, ultrasound machines, digital X-ray capabilities, a 24-hour accident and emergency unit, and a modern laboratory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hospital will cater primarily to the people of Region Two, as well as patients from neighboring Regions One and Three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Anthony stated that construction is progressing well, with a substantial completion expected by March or April 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the necessary equipment arrives, the hospital will be ready for operation, targeting an official opening by May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility will offer several first-time services for the region, including CT scans, and is designed with patient comfort in mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Anthony emphasized that the hospital will feature air-conditioned wards with private bathrooms and toilets, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is part of the government&#8217;s broader efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure across the country, aiming to provide world-class healthcare services to all Guyanese.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Delicia JanneireOctober 30, 2024 Construction of the Lima hospital in Region Two is advancing steadily, with the facility expected to begin operations by May 2025.
