{"id":24149,"date":"2024-11-18T17:43:42","date_gmt":"2024-11-18T17:43:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=24149"},"modified":"2024-11-18T17:44:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-18T17:44:07","slug":"guyana-dominates-cac-bodybuilding-championship-secures-team-title-and-pro-card","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/guyana-dominates-cac-bodybuilding-championship-secures-team-title-and-pro-card\/","title":{"rendered":"Guyana Dominates CAC Bodybuilding Championship, Secures Team Title and Pro-Card"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>October 21, 2024 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guyana\u2019s bodybuilding team delivered an exceptional performance at the 51st Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championship over the weekend, claiming 25 medals, securing the championship title, and earning a prestigious pro-card for Emmerson Campbell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team\u2019s success included seven gold medals, contributing to a total of 333 points, which placed Guyana at the top of the leaderboard ahead of Barbados (327 points) and El Salvador (165 points).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emmerson Campbell, a standout performer, won gold in the Men\u2019s Physique (up to 173 cm) category and was awarded a pro-card, recognizing his consistent excellence on the CAC stage. While he narrowly missed first place in the overall comparison, the pro-card marks the beginning of his journey to the professional circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other highlights, Remalton Siland secured gold in Men\u2019s Fitness on day one, followed by bronze in both the Men\u2019s Physique Masters Open and Men\u2019s Physique Seniors (up to 170 cm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julio Sinclair clinched gold in the Men\u2019s Bodybuilding over 90 kg, while Delrae McLean earned bronze in the Men\u2019s Bodybuilding Masters (40-49 years) and silver in the Men\u2019s Bodybuilding Seniors (up to 75 kg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overseas-based athlete Rawle Greene had a successful outing, earning bronze in the Men\u2019s Bodybuilding Seniors (up to 85 kg), silver in the Men\u2019s Classic Bodybuilding Seniors (over 175 cm), and gold in the Men\u2019s Masters Open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the women\u2019s categories, Christina Ramsammy won silver in both the Bikini Masters (over 35) and Women\u2019s Bodybuilding (over 35). Angelica Barroncas added to the medal tally with silver in the Wellness Masters (over 35).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team also received strong contributions from athletes such as Anthony Bayley, Jamal Pollydore, Joel Caldeira, Orlanzo Valenzuela, Kadeem Bowen, and Christopher Anthony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the competition\u2019s pro-card winners\u2019 list, Barbados\u2019 Bukkiah Providence won the Overall Men\u2019s Physique, while Misaelis Pe\u00f1a of the Dominican Republic earned the Overall Bikini Fitness title.
