In 2015, cancer returned, this time in her left breast, and by 2018, it had spread to her reproductive organs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the years, Anna endured multiple treatments, including 26 sessions of radiation in Guyana and 21 days of internal radiation in Suriname.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the physical and emotional toll, Anna&#8217;s unwavering faith and the support of her family kept her going. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She recalls relying on prayer and the generosity of loved ones during the toughest moments, even when financial resources seemed uncertain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anna credits the steadfast support from family and friends as a cornerstone of her survival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She recognizes that many cancer patients struggle due to lack of support, urging others to be there for their loved ones during such challenging times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in remission, Anna has found purpose in her work at the Beacon Foundation Hospice, where she offers care, counsel, and hope to other cancer patients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her experiences serve as a source of inspiration, underscoring the importance of early detection and perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anna\u2019s message is clear: &#8220;Take any lump or unusual sign seriously and act quickly.&#8221; Her story is a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the impact of faith, love, and determination in overcoming even the most daunting challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 20, 2024 Sixteen years ago, Anna DeMorias was told she had little chance of survival after a cancer diagnosis.
