{"id":22328,"date":"2024-09-04T17:54:46","date_gmt":"2024-09-04T17:54:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=22328"},"modified":"2024-09-04T17:54:48","modified_gmt":"2024-09-04T17:54:48","slug":"linden-children-receive-fire-prevention-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/linden-children-receive-fire-prevention-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Linden Children Receive Fire Prevention Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>Over 100 children from communities across Linden participated in the &#8220;Blaze Busters Fire Safety Camp&#8221; hosted by the Guyana Fire Service at the Linden Constabulary Hall on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The camp focused on teaching fire prevention techniques and safety procedures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fireman Kelwin Yaw from the Linden Fire Station led an interactive session, covering topics such as the dangers of fire starters and electricity, how to seek help during a fire, evacuation procedures, the use of smoke alarms, and emergency contact numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sub-Officer Fenton Drepaul-Saul from the Linden Fire Station highlighted the importance of the training in reducing fire incidents in the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He mentioned that the training will continue, with plans to intensify community sensitization efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Municipal Councilor Alicia Bentick, who played a key role in mobilizing the event, expressed her satisfaction with the turnout and emphasized the need for similar initiatives involving parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the camp, each child received a certificate of participation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal is for attendees to share their knowledge and apply what they learned to prevent fire-related incidents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over 100 children from communities across Linden participated in the &#8220;Blaze Busters Fire Safety Camp&#8221; hosted by the Guyana Fire Service at the Linden Constabulary Hall on Thursday.
