Region Six is celebrating its top performers from the recent CSEC exams, with three outstanding students leading the way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sohail Mohamad, Chitra Ramdihal, and Nyadesh Seecoomarie have excelled academically and are now setting their sights on ambitious futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seventeen-year-old Sohail Mohamad from Goed Banana Land, East Canje, and a student at New Amsterdam Secondary School, wrote 21 subjects and secured 18 Grade Ones and 3 Grade Twos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He plans to pursue studies at the University of Guyana, aiming to become a cardiologist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sohail expressed his gratitude for the support from his teachers and parents, highlighting the significant role they played in his success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chitra Ramdihal from Berbice High School in New Amsterdam achieved 15 Grade Ones and 4 Grade Twos from 19 subjects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She will also be continuing her studies at the University of Guyana with aspirations of becoming an attorney at law. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chitra described her achievement as a surreal moment, noting that despite the challenges, the encouragement from her family and faith helped her persevere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nyadesh Seecoomarie from JC Chandisingh Secondary School undertook 17 subjects, achieving 15 Grade Ones and 2 Grade Twos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her success was marked by her dedication and the support from her school and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the CSEC results, Education Minister Priya Manickchand, along with regional officials, visited JC Chandisingh, Port Mourant, and Manchester Secondary Schools to review renovation efforts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The upgrades aim to enhance the educational environment across secondary schools in the region, ensuring that all students have access to quality education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister Manickchand emphasized the importance of supporting all schools equally and training teachers to help every student achieve their best, regardless of the school they attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The renovations include new wings for JC Chandisingh and Port Mourant Secondary Schools, set to accommodate more students and further improve the learning experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
