{"id":22255,"date":"2024-09-04T14:36:14","date_gmt":"2024-09-04T14:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=22255"},"modified":"2024-09-04T14:36:19","modified_gmt":"2024-09-04T14:36:19","slug":"guyana-chronicles-back-to-school-drive-supports-65-students-nationwide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/guyana-chronicles-back-to-school-drive-supports-65-students-nationwide\/","title":{"rendered":"Guyana Chronicle\u2019s Back-to-School Drive Supports 65 Students Nationwide"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Fabiana McKlmon<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guyana Chronicle has successfully wrapped up its annual \u201cGadget &amp; School Supplies Drive,\u201d benefiting 65 students across all ten administrative regions of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s initiative aimed to equip students from nursery to secondary school with essential supplies and electronic devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To participate, students submitted coupons published in the Chronicle\u2019s daily and Sunday newspapers from July 1 to August 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign, which started four years ago, initially emerged in response to the increased need for technology during the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acting Marketing Manager Beverly Roberts expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign\u2019s growth over the years, noting its continued success in bridging the technology gap for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the beneficiaries, 14-year-old Malachi Anderson, who received a laptop, shared how the new device will significantly aid him in completing his school assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative was supported by several sponsors, including Sheriff Security, Star Computers, Viscom, and Blue Spring Water.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Fabiana McKlmon The Guyana Chronicle has successfully wrapped up its annual \u201cGadget &amp; School Supplies Drive,\u201d benefiting 65 students across all ten administrative regions of the country.
