{"id":22086,"date":"2024-09-03T19:10:51","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T19:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=22086"},"modified":"2024-09-03T19:10:53","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T19:10:53","slug":"amerindian-heritage-month-2024-officially-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/amerindian-heritage-month-2024-officially-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Amerindian Heritage Month 2024 Officially Launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Kimberly Giddings<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Amerindian Affairs has officially launched the calendar of events for Amerindian Heritage Month 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s theme, &#8220;Many Voices, One Song: Celebrating Amerindian Heritage 2024,&#8221; highlights the cultural richness and contributions of Guyana&#8217;s indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campbelltown, located in Region 8, has been designated as the heritage village for this year\u2019s celebrations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The month-long festivities, set to begin on August 31 and conclude on September 30, will feature a variety of events, including the traditional heritage pageant, cultural shows, and craft exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amerindian Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history, achievements, and ongoing contributions of the indigenous population to the development of Guyana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Kimberly Giddings The Ministry of Amerindian Affairs has officially launched the calendar of events for Amerindian Heritage Month 2024.
