The National Health Fair, organized by the Seventh-Day Adventist Conference, drew significant participation on Sunday, with over 800 individuals receiving various medical services at the Sophia Exhibition Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The health fair provided a broad range of services, including eye testing, foot massages, dental examinations, blood drives, and nutritional guidance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event aimed to address the gap many people face in accessing routine health care due to their busy schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laurel Gittens, a beneficiary of the fair, highlighted the comprehensive nature of the services provided, expressing satisfaction with the eye check-up and blood pressure monitoring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dawn Archer also praised the event for its efficiency and thoroughness in addressing her health needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Rodwin Brandon, a dentist present at the fair, emphasized the importance of regular dental care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shared practical tips for maintaining oral health, advocating a simple “2-3-6 rule” for dental hygiene: brushing twice a day, changing toothbrushes every three months, and visiting the dentist every six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Davis Memorial Hospital was on hand to offer referrals for those requiring treatment beyond the scope of the fair’s on-site services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
