{"id":20156,"date":"2024-06-04T15:39:06","date_gmt":"2024-06-04T15:39:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=20156"},"modified":"2024-06-04T15:39:21","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T15:39:21","slug":"exxonmobil-u-14-football-tournament-kicks-off-with-exciting-matches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/exxonmobil-u-14-football-tournament-kicks-off-with-exciting-matches\/","title":{"rendered":"ExxonMobil U-14 Football Tournament Kicks Off with Exciting Matches"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>By Eric Collymore<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The much-anticipated ExxonMobil Under-14 Boys&#8217; and Girls&#8217; Football Tournament kicked off on Monday with over 20 games played at the Ministry of Education ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defending champions, Bartica Secondary, wasted no time asserting their dominance in the boys&#8217; division, securing a 3-0 victory over L&#8217;Adventure Secondary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jaden Christian opened the scoring in the 4th minute, followed by goals from Ray Spencer in the 15th minute and Lenny Skeete in the 30th minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another convincing win came from Three Mile Secondary&#8217;s boys&#8217; team, defeating VYC Academy 5-0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adrian Stoby, Eric Stephen, LeBron Mendonca, Malique Ambrose, and Sergio Deagrella all contributed goals for Three Mile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The girls&#8217; category also saw some decisive victories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bartica Secondary&#8217;s girls defeated Bush Lot Secondary 4-0, led by a doubleheader from Nerismar Williams and goals from Keysi Austin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three Mile Secondary&#8217;s girls also secured a win against East Ruimveldt Secondary with goals from Arianna Stoby and Zalina Jones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other notable winners on the first day included Marian Academy, Tucville Primary (Girls), St. John&#8217;s Secondary (Boys), and East Ruimveldt (Boys).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ExxonMobil U-14 tournament promises exciting matches as student athletes from various schools compete for the championship title.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Eric Collymore The much-anticipated ExxonMobil Under-14 Boys&#8217; and Girls&#8217; Football Tournament kicked off on Monday with over 20 games played at the Ministry of Education ground.
