{"id":20050,"date":"2024-05-30T12:10:41","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T12:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=20050"},"modified":"2024-05-30T12:11:12","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T12:11:12","slug":"new-traffic-arrangements-in-linden-for-guyanas-58th-independence-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/new-traffic-arrangements-in-linden-for-guyanas-58th-independence-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"New Traffic Arrangements in Linden for Guyana&#8217;s 58th Independence Anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><strong>By Jacquey Bourne<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Guyana prepares to celebrate its 58th Independence Anniversary in Linden, the Guyana Police Force has implemented new traffic arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of vehicles in the mining town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Superintendent Sherwin Henry, Officer in Charge (O\/C) of the Traffic Division Ten, provided details on the plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Superintendent Henry stated that effective traffic management would be in place before, during, and after the official flag-raising ceremony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adequate police ranks will be deployed to ensure minimal to no congestion, allowing Lindeners and visitors to enjoy the celebrations on Saturday night without traffic issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key traffic directions were highlighted by Superintendent Henry. Traffic will not be permitted to travel west along Pitman and Mora Streets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Greenheart Street will be closed from Independence Avenue to Damon Avenue. Motorists heading to the Wismar Shore will need to use Dakama Circle to access the Five Corner area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parking arrangements have also been addressed.
