{"id":19955,"date":"2024-05-29T15:33:10","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T15:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=19955"},"modified":"2024-05-29T15:33:11","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T15:33:11","slug":"eknt-introduces-paddle-boarding-to-linden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/eknt-introduces-paddle-boarding-to-linden\/","title":{"rendered":"EK&amp;NT Introduces Paddle-Boarding to Linden"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>By Tracey Liverpool<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elite Kayaking and Nature Tours (EK&amp;NT) has expanded its offerings in Linden by introducing stand-up paddle-boarding as a new water sports activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This move comes four years after the successful launch of kayaking as a recreational sport by Dr. Deon Anderson, the owner of EK&amp;NT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of paddle-boarding took place at the Watooka Guest House over the weekend, marking a significant addition to Linden&#8217;s tourism attractions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stand-up paddle-boarding offers users the excitement of gliding over water while exploring one of Linden&#8217;s most renowned sites, the Blue Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Anderson emphasized that paddle-boarding provides a unique and valuable experience, complementing the existing kayaking tours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new dimension of water sports allows tourists and locals alike to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Linden, surrounded by sand hills and the captivating Blue Lake scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paddle-boarding gear was procured through a Product Development Grant from the Guyana Tourism Authority, underscoring the collaboration between EK&amp;NT and the tourism sector to enhance the region&#8217;s tourism offerings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candace Phillips, the Product Development Officer at the Guyana Tourism Authority, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in advancing tourism in Region 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phillips emphasized that enhancing tourism experiences in Region 10 is a priority project for the year, with plans for increased community engagements and partnerships with the private sector to achieve this goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the launch, participants embarked on a paddle-boarding adventure at the Kara Kara Blue Lake, where they could also enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with comfortable seating arrangements and beach umbrellas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The introduction of paddle-boarding by EK&amp;NT adds diversity to Linden&#8217;s tourism landscape, offering visitors yet another exciting way to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of the region&#8217;s waterways.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Tracey Liverpool Elite Kayaking and Nature Tours (EK&amp;NT) has expanded its offerings in Linden by introducing stand-up paddle-boarding as a new water sports activity.
