Joseph Hamilton, Minister of Labour, underscored that OSH is not just a concern for employers and employees but a national issue that requires collective responsibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized the need for concerted efforts from all citizens to address OSH challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gwen King, an OSH Consultant at the Ministry of Labour, highlighted the significance of ongoing initiatives to raise public awareness about OSH. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She emphasized the importance of continuously striving to improve working conditions and the environment throughout Guyana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fair was part of a series of activities held throughout the month to promote OSH awareness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These efforts culminate on Occupational Safety and Health Day, which will be celebrated on Sunday, April 28, under the theme &#8220;We are running out of time: ensuring safe and healthy work now in a changing climate.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A walk will be organized on that day to further raise awareness about OSH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By fostering dialogue and engagement through events like the OSH fair, the Ministry of Labour aims to enhance understanding and commitment to ensuring safe and healthy working environments for all Guyanese.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Fabiana McKlmon In observance of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) month, the Ministry of Labour organized an OSH fair at its Brickdam Office.
