{"id":19110,"date":"2024-04-25T14:44:16","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T14:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=19110"},"modified":"2024-04-25T14:44:18","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T14:44:18","slug":"region-ten-tourism-committee-conducts-customer-service-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/region-ten-tourism-committee-conducts-customer-service-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Region Ten Tourism Committee Conducts Customer Service Training"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In a bid to enhance hospitality and tourism services in the region, the Region Ten Tourism Committee (RTTC) recently organized a Customer Service Training session in Linden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RTTC collaborated with the Greater Guyana Initiative to host the training, which aimed to equip front desk operators, business owners, and customer service representatives with essential skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facilitated by RTTC members Rawl Dundas and Adrian Boston, the training was themed &#8220;Preparing you to excel during Linden Town Week and beyond.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adrian Boston, the Secretary of the RTTC, emphasized the importance of providing participants with the necessary tools to deliver exceptional customer service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the upcoming Linden Town Week celebrations expected to attract an influx of tourists, Boston highlighted the training as a crucial refresher for individuals to enhance their customer service skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the training, participants were exposed to various topics, including meeting the fundamental needs of customers, changing mindsets, and improving communication skills. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rawle Dundus, Vice Chairman of the RTTC, announced plans for additional training sessions over the next few months aimed at further improving hospitality and tourism services in the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These sessions will cover aspects such as business development and tour guide training across various sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the effectiveness of the training, Dundas mentioned that the RTTC will assess and grade service providers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, plans are in place to expand the training program to remote communities like Rockstone and Kwakwani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the Region Ten Tourism Committee continues its efforts to bolster tourism and hospitality services, the Customer Service Training initiative marks a significant step towards achieving excellence in service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Reporting for NCN News, Tracey Liverpool<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a bid to enhance hospitality and tourism services in the region, the Region Ten Tourism Committee (RTTC) recently organized a Customer Service Training session in Linden.
