{"id":18647,"date":"2024-04-16T13:58:28","date_gmt":"2024-04-16T13:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=18647"},"modified":"2024-04-16T13:58:29","modified_gmt":"2024-04-16T13:58:29","slug":"muslims-celebrate-eid-ul-fitr-in-linden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/muslims-celebrate-eid-ul-fitr-in-linden\/","title":{"rendered":"MUSLIMS CELEBRATE EID\u2013UL\u2013FITR IN LINDEN"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>By Tracey Liverpool<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muslims gathered at Masjids around Linden very early to mark the end of the month of fasting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Wismar Masjid, they held a special Eid program where 17 Muslims graduated after completing an Islamic course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imam Abdul Kareem, speaking about the occasion, mentioned that they held a three-month Islamic Course, and those who excelled in everything graduated from this basic Islam Course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized the importance of seeking knowledge and education in their community, especially on such an important day as Eid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imam Kareem also expressed enthusiasm for the completion of the Islamic Technical Institute, which will allow for the continuation of such programs to further the development of Islam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eid activities continued throughout the day with communal gatherings and acts of charity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although charity and good deeds are always important in Islam, they have special significance at the end of Ramadan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imam Kareem encouraged Muslim brothers and sisters to continue portraying the obedience and dedication shown during the month of Ramadan, letting the strength gained guide them throughout the entire year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eid\u2013Ul\u2013Fitr, or the festival of breaking the fast, is one of the most important Islamic observances, denoting the ending of Ramadan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eid is celebrated on the first day of the month of Shaw-wal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Tracey Liverpool Muslims gathered at Masjids around Linden very early to mark the end of the month of fasting.
