{"id":18100,"date":"2024-04-05T02:41:14","date_gmt":"2024-04-05T02:41:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=18100"},"modified":"2024-04-05T02:41:26","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T02:41:26","slug":"fruta-conquerors-clinch-victory-in-kfc-elite-league","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/fruta-conquerors-clinch-victory-in-kfc-elite-league\/","title":{"rendered":"Fruta Conquerors Clinch Victory in KFC Elite League"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>By Eric Collymore<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Former KFC Elite League champions, Fruta Conquerors, asserted their dominance against Monedderlust in an intense match held at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Ann\u2019s Grove and Den Amstel settled for a draw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a commanding performance, Fruta Conquerors secured a 2-0 victory over Monedderlust, although the scoreline did not fully reflect their dominance on the field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Makaya Jarvis provided an early lead for the Tucville-based team with a goal in the 5th minute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite numerous opportunities, Fruta struggled to capitalize further due to wasteful finishing by their midfielders and strikers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shamar Barnes extended the lead with a goal in the 66th minute of the second half. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite an improved performance from Monedderlust in the second half, they failed to convert momentum into goals, resulting in a 2-0 defeat after 90 minutes of regulation time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the opening match of the night, Ann\u2019s Grove took the lead against Den Amstel with Shaquan Joseph scoring four minutes into the game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Gideon Payne equalized for Den Amstel with a goal in the 25th minute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second half saw a lackluster performance from both teams, culminating in a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KFC Elite League features the top ten clubs competing in 90 games, with the first-place team earning a cash prize of G$2,000,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cash rewards of G$1,200,000, G$800,000, and G$500,000 are also up for grabs for the second, third, and fourth-place teams, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fruta Conquerors&#8217; victory showcased their prowess in the league as they aim to reclaim their title.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Eric Collymore Former KFC Elite League champions, Fruta Conquerors, asserted their dominance against Monedderlust in an intense match held at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center.
