{"id":17887,"date":"2024-04-03T15:22:59","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T15:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=17887"},"modified":"2024-04-03T15:23:01","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T15:23:01","slug":"investigation-underway-after-fatal-motorcycle-collision-claims-life-of-elderly-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/investigation-underway-after-fatal-motorcycle-collision-claims-life-of-elderly-man\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigation Underway After Fatal Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of Elderly Man"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p><em>By Royan Abrams<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guyana Police Force is currently probing the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of 66-year-old Jaggat Narine, who lost his life in a road accident on Sunday evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred on the Number 64 Public Road in Corentyne, Berbice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The accident, which occurred at approximately 19:15, involved two motorcycles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports, a motorcycle with an unknown registration was traveling along the Number 64 Public Road at a high rate of speed when Narine, riding his motorcycle, pulled out from an access road onto the public road. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This maneuver led to a collision between the two motorcycles, causing both drivers to fall onto the road surface and sustain injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sahadeo Narine, the son of the deceased, recounted the events leading up to the accident to the media.
