(GWI) has distributed 450-gallon water tanks to twelve families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following discussions with Housing and Water Minister Collin Croal regarding the water shortage in the area, a commitment was made to provide water to fifty-two families in the community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, during the water delivery process, it was discovered that twelve families lacked adequate water storage facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to this, GWI promptly arranged for the delivery of water tanks to these households, enabling them to receive and store water from GWI&#8217;s distribution system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents expressed their appreciation for the Minister&#8217;s swift intervention, acknowledging that the provision of water tanks would significantly improve their quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, Minister Croal stated that the Ministry would explore the possibility of drilling a well in the area to ensure a sustainable water supply for the community in the long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this initiative, residents relied on various sources such as rainwater, nearby rivers, canals, or purchased water to meet their water needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The provision of water tanks by GWI represents a crucial step towards addressing water accessibility challenges in the community of Ingratitute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Saskia Warrick In a bid to address water scarcity concerns in the community of Ingratitute, West Bank Demerara, Guyana Water Inc.
