The University of Guyana Law Society recently organized its first inter-school moot competition, marking a return after a two-year hiatus as part of the faculty’s law week observances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural competition saw sixth form students from various schools showcasing their public speaking and advocacy skills, portraying themselves as budding attorneys. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participating schools included President\u2019s College, St. Roses High, Queen\u2019s College, McKenzie High, and New Amsterdam Multilateral School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to hone their skills and gain practical experience in legal advocacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They emphasized the relevance of such experiences for future legal professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice Kenneth Benjamin, Head of the Department for the Law Faculty, shared his expectations for the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
