Briton John emerged victorious once again in the Berbice leg of the annual Dr. Cheddi Jagan Memorial cycle road race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The race kicked off smoothly from Freedom House on Main Street, New Amsterdam, early Sunday morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyclists navigated their way to Number 63 Village on the Corentyne before returning to Babu Jaan for the finish line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Briton John, the overall winner of the race, expressed his joy and gratitude in an interview with NCN following his victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second and third place finishers, along with winners in specific categories, were also recognized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jan Jackson secured victory in the Over 50 category, while Alexander Leung triumphed in the Junior category. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Chooweenam emerged victorious in the Veteran category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zulfikar Mustapha, the Executive Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), highlighted the significance of the event, marking the 27th death anniversary of Dr. Cheddi Jagan, the party’s founding father. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mustapha emphasized the enduring legacy of Dr. Jagan, praising his contributions to the development of the nation and his efforts to liberate the Guyanese people from oppression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mustapha underscored that Dr. Jagan’s sacrifices remain relevant today, serving as an inspiration for continued progress and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
