{"id":15841,"date":"2024-01-25T15:41:04","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T15:41:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=15841"},"modified":"2024-01-25T15:41:05","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T15:41:05","slug":"rose-hall-jammer-secures-title-in-1st-pepsi-mike-parris-boxing-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/rose-hall-jammer-secures-title-in-1st-pepsi-mike-parris-boxing-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"Rose Hall Jammer Secures Title in 1st Pepsi\/Mike Parris Boxing Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>In the first Pepsi\/Mike Parris amateur boxing competition of the year, Rose Hall Jammer emerged as the champion boxing gym. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition, organized by the Guyana Boxing Association, featured 10 fights and took place at the Andrew &#8216;Six Head&#8217; Lewis gym in Albouystown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rose Hall Jammer claimed the top spot, outperforming Pace and Power Boxing Gym, with Ken Harvey from P&amp;P awarded the title of Best Boxer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gregory Cort of Rosehall Jammer received the accolade of Best Coach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The participating gyms included Bayley Boxing Gym, Andrew &#8216;Six Head&#8217; Lewis, and Forgotten Youth Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The U16 School Boys and Girls Boxing Championships showcased promising talent, and the Technical Director, Terrence Poole, expressed satisfaction with the strong start to the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Referee judge Arthur Scipio was recognized as the Best Official during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The association, led by National Coach Lennox Daniels, Technical Director Terrence Poole, and Cuban Coach Francisco Roldan, aims to provide a high-performance structure to prepare boxers for international competitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, the association successfully organized the 18th edition of the nursery-level championship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the first Pepsi\/Mike Parris amateur boxing competition of the year, Rose Hall Jammer emerged as the champion boxing gym.
