Priya Manickchand, emphasized the significance of ICT in Guyana&#8217;s transformation and highlighted the government&#8217;s commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital era. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative aims to equip the youth with skills for emerging opportunities in the digital job market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the ICT training, the government will continue the GOAL program and Coursera, allocating 4 billion and 350 million Guyanese dollars, respectively. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These programs contribute to the upskilling of individuals and provide access to a variety of courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the Technical and Vocational Training program will train 7,890 individuals in areas such as electrical installation, plumbing, furniture making, general building construction, and heavy-duty equipment operation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This training, costing $500 million, aims to enhance skills in various trades, supporting the government&#8217;s commitment to human development and education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Guyanese government is set to boost the digital landscape by training 1,000 young individuals in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for outsourced high-value nearshore jobs.
