{"id":14707,"date":"2023-12-25T01:51:55","date_gmt":"2023-12-25T01:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=14707"},"modified":"2023-12-25T01:51:58","modified_gmt":"2023-12-25T01:51:58","slug":"fire-leaves-corentyne-family-homeless","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/fire-leaves-corentyne-family-homeless\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire Leaves Corentyne Family Homeless"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>A fire of unknown origin has left a Corentyne family of four homeless after it engulfed their residence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred at about 8 a.m. at Lot 8, Section &#8216;B&#8217; Bengal Farm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jonell Batson, the 43-year-old homeowner, revealed that she was on the public road with two of her children, ensuring their transportation to school, when a neighbor alerted her to the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Batson expressed the devastating loss, stating that upon arriving at the scene, the house was already engulfed in flames. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite efforts, she couldn&#8217;t salvage any belongings, and everything, including her salary, was consumed by the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Guyana Fire Service was contacted, but unfortunately, by the time they arrived, the building had already been completely destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facing the aftermath of the fire, Batson is now seeking assistance to rebuild her home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She expressed her willingness to accept any help to provide shelter for herself and her children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those willing to assist the family can contact Jonell Batson at 664-1303.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A fire of unknown origin has left a Corentyne family of four homeless after it engulfed their residence.
