{"id":13994,"date":"2023-11-10T21:32:55","date_gmt":"2023-11-10T21:32:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/?p=13994"},"modified":"2023-11-10T21:32:56","modified_gmt":"2023-11-10T21:32:56","slug":"lennox-gasper-appointed-as-lindens-new-town-clerk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/lennox-gasper-appointed-as-lindens-new-town-clerk\/","title":{"rendered":"Lennox Gasper Appointed as Linden\u2019s New Town Clerk"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n\n<p>The Local Government Commission has appointed Lennox Gasper as the new Town Clerk of the municipality of Linden, succeeding the former Town Clerk, Orleena Obermuller, who resigned from the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lennox Gasper brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as a Municipal Councilor from 2016 to 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also held the position of revenue clerk at the same institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to his appointment, Gasper expressed his commitment to serving the residents of Linden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hitting the ground running, Gasper has already initiated discussions with relevant stakeholders to outline the way forward for the township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"https:\/\/ncnguyana.com\/2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Recyia-New-Town-Clerk.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his immediate plans, Gasper outlined his advocacy for staff training, strategies to increase income generation for the council, and continuous engagement with residents in the communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His predecessor, Orleena Obermuller, served as Deputy Town Clerk from 2016 and was sworn in as Linden\u2019s Town Clerk in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents of Linden shared their thoughts on Gasper&#8217;s appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to execute the responsibilities of the Town Clerk effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Audwin Rutherford, Head of Linmine Secretariat, noted Gasper&#8217;s familiarity with the town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leola Narine, Assistant Regional Executive Officer, expressed confidence in Gasper&#8217;s execution capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hon.
