Ramsammy was said to be driving motorcar PRR 7985 along the Hampshire Public Road, allegedly at a fast rate, when he lost control and collided with Khan, who was riding an electric bike, in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the collision, the rider of the electric bike was flung onto the parapet then into a drain where he received injuries about his body, and the motorcar turned turtle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were all rushed to the Port Mourant Hospital, where Khan and Ramsammy were subsequently pronounced dead. The three injured were then transferred to the New Amsterdam Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Khan\u2019s wife, Naeema Khan told reporters that her husband left home for work around 16:00hrs on Tuesday and was expected back home after 23:00hrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ramsammy\u2019s wife, Vashti Amernauth said her husband left home to take the car to the mechanic shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NCN understands that Khan\u2019s family is hoping that a thorough investigation is conducted to determine who was driving the car at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two men are now dead, while three others are hospitalized following an accident on the Hampshire Public Road in Corentyne, Berbice.
