The West Indies are facing an uphill battle as they strive to keep their hopes alive in the five-match T20 series against England.
With the Windies trailing 2-0, head coach Daren Sammy has urged his squad to play the “brand of cricket” that will propel them to victory and force a series comeback.
“England has shown their strength, but I believe in our team. We need to focus on our game and play the way we know we can,” Sammy said optimistically ahead of the third T20I.
As the Windies prepare for the crucial third match on Thursday, changes have been made to the squad.
Alzarri Joseph has returned to the team following a two-match suspension, replacing Shamar Joseph.
All-rounder Shamar Springer has also been added to the squad, taking the place of the injured Andre Russell.
The team has suffered back-to-back defeats to England at the Kensington Oval, and now, with the series hanging in the balance, they must secure a win to stay in contention.
The third T20I is set to take place at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground at 16:00 hours on Thursday.
With high stakes, the Windies are aiming for a turnaround, and Coach Sammy remains hopeful that his team will rise to the challenge.
