West Indies batting coach Floyd Reifer has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance after securing an early series win over Bangladesh in the ongoing three-match one-day international (ODI) series.
The West Indies took a 2-0 lead on Tuesday, clinching a seven-wicket victory in St. Kitts.
In a post-match interview with Cricket West Indies Media, Reifer commended the opening pair of Brandon King and Evin Lewis for their solid temperament at the top of the order.
Their ability to lay a strong foundation has been crucial for the team’s success in the series so far.
Additionally, Reifer highlighted the growth of middle-order batsman Sherfane Rutherford, noting the Guyanese all-rounder’s progress since being included in the squad.
Reifer praised Rutherford’s ability to finish matches, a key factor in the team’s successful chase and run-building during the series.
The West Indies will return to the field on Thursday for the third and final ODI against Bangladesh, with the match set to begin at 9:30 AM.
