In a compelling matchup in the KFC Elite League at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Centre, the Western Tigers showcased their prowess by securing a resounding victory over Fruta Conquerors.

Samuel Garnett set the tone for Western Tigers by opening the scoring in the 15th minute, signaling the team’s intent early on.

The second half saw an impressive surge from Western Tigers, with Trayon Bobb extending their lead in the 63rd minute.

Jermain Beckles further bolstered Western Tigers’ advantage in the 72nd minute, putting them firmly in control with a 3-nil lead.

Western Tigers continued their relentless attack, with Malachi Grannum finding the net in the 82nd minute, followed by Andrew Murray Jr in the 89th minute.

Chai Williams capped off the remarkable performance with a goal in injury time, sealing an impressive 6-nil victory for Western Tigers.

In the night’s opening contest, Monedderlust FC earned their first points by securing a draw against Buxton United FC.

Tyreek Cumming initially gave Buxton the lead, but Monedderlust’s Stephen Moore equalized.

Moore then scored again to put Monedderlust ahead, only for Maurice Barnes to find the equalizer for Buxton United, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

Looking ahead, the KFC league will resume on Thursday with Santos facing Ann’s Grove and Den Amstel taking on defending champions GDF.
