The West Indies secured a dominant series win over England, emerging victorious by eight wickets in the third and final One Day International (ODI) at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

A memorable performance from Keacy Carty and Brandon King, both of whom scored centuries, guided the Caribbean side to a comfortable chase of England’s target.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, the West Indies made early breakthroughs, dismissing England for just 25 runs within the first 10 overs, leaving them in a precarious position.

England fought back through solid contributions from Phil Salt (74), Sam Curran (40), and Dan Mousley (57).

Jamie Overton (32) and Jofra Archer (38) also played key roles, with England finishing their innings at 263 for eight.

Matthew Forde led the Windies bowling attack, claiming three wickets for 35 runs off his 10 overs, while Alzarri Joseph and Romario Shepherd each picked up two wickets.

Chasing the target of 264, the West Indies lost the early wicket of Evin Lewis in the seventh over but were propelled to victory by a brilliant partnership between Carty and King.

Carty, making history as the first player from St. Maarten to score an international century, amassed 128 runs, while King contributed 102 runs.

Their partnership of 209 runs set up the Windies’ chase, with King departing in the 41st over.

Carty and Shai Hope, the West Indies captain, guided the team to victory, finishing with 267 for two and clinching the series 2-1.

Following the match, Hope expressed his satisfaction with the team’s consistent performance throughout the series, highlighting the contributions of the batsmen as a key factor in their success.
