Residents of Region 3 are in for a treat as the brand-new West Central Mall opens its doors, offering a modern shopping and entertainment experience that is set to significantly boost the ongoing development of the region.
With 84 diverse businesses and standout attractions such as the upscale restaurant “Atlantis,” a spacious 1,200-square-foot indoor children’s play area, the Ace Club and Lounge, and a two-screen cinema, the West Central Mall is poised to become a dynamic hub for the community.
Developer Heimraj Albert, reflecting on the journey to bring this project to fruition, acknowledged the challenges faced, including logistical hurdles, climatic considerations, labor shortages, and soaring material costs.
Yet, he emphasized that the end result made it all worthwhile. Albert expressed his hope that the mall would bridge the social entertainment gap that had been felt in the region.
Minister of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce, Oneidge Walrond, underscored the monumental significance of this project for the region, as it introduces a fresh and modern image to the western side.
Beyond its potential as a tourist magnet, the West Central Mall stands as a significant source of employment for local residents. The mall boasts a food court with a seating capacity of 250 persons, housing boutiques, cosmetics, craft and jewelry shops, salons, cafes, and insurance companies.
The West Central Mall officially opened its doors to the public on September 30th, marking a new era in commerce and entertainment for Region 3.
