Waramuri Primary and Ann’s Grove Secondary Shine in Milo Schools Football Tournament

Day two of the Milo Schools Football Tournament saw impressive performances from Waramuri Primary Top and Ann’s Grove Secondary School.

In a thrilling clash against Bishops’ High, Waramuri Primary Top showcased their dominance with a commanding 5-1 victory.

The match kicked off with Waramuri seizing control early on, scoring two goals within the first three minutes courtesy of Odell Holmes and Denzell Abrams.

Abrams continued his stellar performance, finding the back of the net again in the 45th minute, giving Waramuri a comfortable three-goal lead at halftime.

Although Bishops’ High managed to pull one goal back through Micaiah Defreitas in the 47th minute, Waramuri maintained their pressure, adding two more goals to their tally, with Abrams and Holmes scoring once again in the 52nd and 56th minutes respectively.

In the opening match of the day, Ann’s Grove Secondary displayed their prowess with a convincing 2-0 victory over Charlestown Secondary.

Goals from Isan Williamson and Naron Jerrick in the 10th and 60th minutes secured the win for Ann’s Grove.

The day’s other matches saw defending champions Santa Rosa, South Ruimveldt, and Leonora Secondary School emerge victorious.

President’s College and Hope Secondary played to a one-all draw, showcasing the competitive nature of the tournament.

With these standout performances, Waramuri Primary Top and Ann’s Grove Secondary have set the bar high in the Milo Schools Football Tournament, demonstrating skill, determination, and teamwork on the field.
