In a night pulsating with rhythm and emotion, Parsasram Singh, known by his stage name Vicadi Singh, emerged triumphant as this year’s Mashramani Chutney Monarch.

The crowning moment, held at the Anna Regina Car Park in Essequibo, marked not only Singh’s victory but also a testament to resilience and personal triumph over adversity.

Singh’s journey to the crown was marked by perseverance and determination, overcoming personal pain and setbacks along the way.

Reflecting on his victory, Singh shared the poignant story of his arduous path to success.

Five years ago, Singh faced elimination from the very competition he would later conquer.

Despite the setback, he refused to give up, driven by an unyielding spirit.

Just five days before the competition, his young daughter was hospitalized with a high fever, leaving Singh feeling broken and uncertain.

However, inspired by his daughter’s unwavering faith, he found the strength to persevere and give his all on stage, dedicating his performance to her.

Throughout his captivating performance, Singh not only showcased his vocal prowess but also delivered a moving display alongside choreographed dancers, captivating the audience with his artistry and passion.

In a night filled with fierce competition, Bunty Singh claimed the second spot with 259 points, followed by Paramdai, known as Vanita Willie, in third, and Nadia Singh, stage name Sonia Singh, in fourth place.

Other notable finalists included Osei Clark (OKC), Roger Hinds, known as Young Bill Rogers, and Alexander Williams, known as A.W. Lyrical.

Singh’s victory not only solidifies his status as a Chutney Monarch but also serves as an inspiration to all, showcasing the power of perseverance, determination, and the strength found in family.
