Vendors Reflect on Christmas Sales, Hopeful for a Better New Year

As the Christmas rush winds down, vendors along Regent Street reflect on this year’s holiday sales.

While many of them report slower business than anticipated, they remain grateful for the sales they made and are hopeful for better opportunities in the New Year.

One vendor, Ms. Daniel, shared her thoughts: “This Christmas season was a bit excellent, but not how we wanted it. After hearing that some public servants received the $100,000, we thought they would’ve come out and spent some of that here, but with God, all things are possible.”

Simone, another vendor, said, “It was nice, but it could’ve been nicer. Finance, you know.”

Dawn, a seasoned vendor, added: “I think this year was the worst year for Christmas. It was very, very slow. You get something, but it just crawls. It wasn’t all that.”

Despite the challenges, many vendors expressed their gratitude for the business they did manage to secure.

As the festive season comes to a close, they are optimistic that the New Year will bring better sales.

One vendor shared: “Well, the Christmas season wasn’t so bad, but we have to be thankful because the whole world is supposed to be celebrating. I’m thankful for what I sold and what I made.”

As they look forward to the New Year, these vendors remain hopeful for better sales and are determined to keep moving forward, regardless of the ups and downs of the holiday season.
