In the latest match of the KFC Elite League season 6, the Guyana Police Force football club maintained their unbeaten streak with a commanding 3-1 win over Ann’s Grove United at the Guyana Football Federation National Training Center.
Neron Barrow of Police FC showcased his goal-scoring prowess early in the game, finding the back of the net in the 4th minute to give his team the lead.
However, Ann’s Grove United responded with a goal from Shaquan Joseph in the 24th minute, leveling the score at 1-1 going into halftime.
The second half saw Police FC assert their dominance, with Junior Redmon and Tyrone Delph scoring crucial goals in the 83rd and 90+2 minutes respectively, securing a comfortable 3-1 victory for their team.
Following this win, Police FC sits atop the league standings with a perfect record of five wins in five games, accumulating 15 points.
Western Tigers and Slingerz FC closely trail behind in second and third place respectively.
The league action is set to resume on Sunday, March 31st, with a double-header featuring defending champions Guyana Defence Force against Fruta Conquerors, followed by Slingerz FC taking on Western Tigers in the evening fixture.
With the top ten clubs vying for the coveted first-place cash prize of G$2M, the competition promises to intensify as the season progresses.
