Trinidad and Tobago and Suriname Dominate Ruff N Tuff Caribbean MMA League ‘Rage Championship’

The recent installment of the Ruff N Tuff Caribbean MMA league, known as the ‘Rage Championship,’ witnessed thrilling bouts at the Pegasus Hotel and Conference Center over the weekend, with Trinidad and Tobago’s Keron Bourne and Suriname’s Petrono Poeketie emerging victorious in the bantamweight and lightweight categories respectively.

In the headline fight of the night, Brazil’s Felipe Rodrigues faced off against Trinidad and Tobago’s Keron Bourne in a bantamweight clash for the professional Fight Central Caribbean title.

Bourne secured a knockout victory in the third round, clinching the title in dramatic fashion.

Guyanese fighter Corwin D’anjou vied for the amateur lightweight Fight Central Caribbean title against Suriname’s Petrono Poeketie.

Despite a hard-fought battle that went the distance, Poeketie claimed victory via a points decision, securing the title.

In non-title matchups, Trinidad and Tobago’s Jeremy Rodulfo secured a knockout win over Cuba’s Uberdanis Fuentes-Perez in a heavyweight showdown, while French Guiana’s Andygler Souza emerged victorious via TKO against Christopher James in another heavyweight clash.

Suriname’s Kayan Kadosoe triumphed over Jamaica’s Desmond Cole in their middleweight contest, securing a TKO victory, while Domani Adams of Trinidad and Tobago earned a unanimous points decision over Suriname’s Kavish Nanan in their bantamweight encounter.

Guyanese fighter Joshua Khan, under the guidance of Corwin D’Anjou, claimed victory in a featherweight bout against Jeremiah Rogers, winning via points decision.

Additionally, St. Lucia’s Dujon Deanna secured a TKO victory over Crystal Murray.

Other notable winners include Trinidad and Tobago’s Yuri Mahabir, who defeated Guyana’s Dan Paul, as well as Guyana’s Darnel Gessamy, along with Luguani Rodrig and Leo Rodrig from Cuba, who emerged victorious in their respective bouts.

Trevlon Clarke also showcased his skills by securing a submission victory over Winston Peters in their bout.

The event concluded with a display of skill, determination, and sportsmanship, highlighting the talent and competitiveness within the Ruff N Tuff Caribbean MMA league.
