A devastating fire incident in Buckville, Linden claimed the life of one-year-old Aziza Adams on Tuesday evening.

The heart-wrenching event unfolded around 19:00 hours and was reportedly triggered by a kerosene stove mishap.

The distraught young mother, Anikha Harris, who was preparing a meal at the time, shared the heart-rending details with NCN News.

She explained that the lit kerosene stove accidentally fell, leading to the tragic blaze.

Upon the firefighters’ arrival, the house had already been engulfed in flames.

The injured child was swiftly taken to the Linden Hospital Complex by a concerned neighbor, and from there, transferred to Georgetown Public Hospital.

Sadly, Aziza succumbed to her injuries shortly before midnight.

The grieving mother revealed that the family had recently moved into the newly constructed home.
