The inaugural Kashif & Shanghai One Guyana National Futsal Championship, held over the weekend, has been hailed a success, with over 60 teams participating.

Sport Minister Charles Ramson Jr. expressed satisfaction with the tournament’s execution and the level of competition, noting the successful collaboration with the Kashif & Shanghai organization, which helped ensure the event’s smooth staging.

The championship featured teams from across the country, with the men’s competition culminating in a dominant performance by Sparta Boss, who won the title with an 8-4 victory over Bent Street A.

In the women’s final, Lady Kanaimans emerged victorious, defeating Lady Royals 2-1.

A standout feature of the tournament was the participation of the Brazilian team Road Warriors, who showcased a unique playing style that impressed both fans and competitors.

Despite their dominant performance, which included a record-setting 18-6 victory over Back Circle, the Road Warriors were defeated by Bent Street.

Sparta Boss went on to secure the championship, following their win over Bent Street A.
