The Petra Organisation, host of the annual ExxonMobil Under-14 football tournament, has received additional support from Stena Drilling Company.

Rig Manager Tim Swain expressed the company’s enthusiasm for joining the event, emphasizing their commitment to assisting Guyanese youth.

Christina Ramroop, Stena’s Local Content Officer, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the company’s dedication to community development through sports initiatives.

Ramroop emphasized Stena Drilling’s role in making the tournament possible.

Due to overwhelming team responses, Petra announced a postponement of the tournament’s start date to May 25.

This adjustment incurs additional costs for transportation, meals, and logistical arrangements, which will be supported by Stena Drilling, along with contributions from the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport (MCYS), MVP Sport, DDL using the Pepsi Brand, and the Ministry of Education.

Troy Mendonca, Co-director of the Petra Organisation, expressed gratitude for the support received from these organizations.

The elimination round of the ExxonMobil Under-14 football tournament is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.
