St. Joseph Mercy Hospital has kicked off its annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, aimed at promoting early detection through accessible mammograms.

The initiative offers women the opportunity to undergo mammograms for a reduced fee of just $1,000.

The hospital’s Director of Medical Services, Sonia Gray, explained that the campaign is a way for the institution to give back to the community while supporting the fight against breast cancer.

The hospital continues to emphasize the importance of early detection in saving lives, aligning with this year’s theme: “No one should face cancer alone.”

One of the beneficiaries of the initiative shared her experience, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to undergo the screening.

She noted that early detection was crucial for peace of mind and encouraged others to take advantage of the offer.

This initiative, which began in 2015, will run throughout the week, providing more women with access to vital screenings.

St. Joseph Mercy Hospital remains committed to raising awareness and offering support to those affected by breast cancer.
