In the ongoing Season Six of the KFC Elite League at the Guyana Football Federation’s National Training Center, Slingerz FC and Guyana Defence Force (GDF) emerged victorious in their respective matches.

In the headline clash of the evening, Slingerz FC showcased their dominance with a commanding 4-1 victory over Western Tigers.

Andrew Murray struck first for Western Tigers in the 25th minute, putting Slingerz on the defensive.

However, Darren Niles equalized for Slingerz in the 42nd minute, leading them into halftime level at 1-1.

After the break, Sheldon Holder took charge with a brace, scoring in the 52nd and 56th minutes, firmly establishing Slingerz in the lead.

A late 85th-minute goal from midfielder Curtez Kellman sealed the victory for Slingerz, securing a final score of 4-1.

In the opening match, reigning champions GDF delivered a dominant performance, overwhelming former champions Fruta Conquerors with an impressive 8-0 win.

Olvis Mitchell led the onslaught with a hat-trick, while Delroy Fraser, Chris Macey, Ian Dooker, and Stephen McDonald also found the back of the net.

Kelsey Benjamin capped off the resounding victory with a goal in the 89th minute, sealing the 8-0 triumph for GDF.

The league action will continue with another double-header, featuring Monedderlust against Den Amstel and Santos taking on Police in the headline match.

The KFC Elite League Season Six continues to showcase thrilling football action, with teams vying for supremacy on the field.
